My approach to training
The key principles how to train your body and mind so you can become successful in the gym and beyond.
The assessment - Failure proof programmes
I believe that a failure-proof workout programme must be unique to you. It must be relevant to your lifestyle, your wishes, and it must be appropriate to your body type. It must be about you, yes, it is all about you!
An assessment is needed to create a good plan. It starts during the initial consultation and continues during the first couple of sessions. I gather key facts about you (working out history, injuries and some aspects of your life style) and see you exercising so I can tailor workouts to suits your level of experience. I can then be ready to put together a safe, realistic and achievable plan that will meet your needs, support your physical development, and bring you what you want to accomplish.
Your fitness journey, support and motivation
A journey to achieve your big dream can be a long and bumpy road, full of obstacles, unforeseen difficulties and some terrible temptations. I was a social worker for 10 years helping people in unimaginable circumstances to find motivation to change their lives. I know very well the difference between an excuse and a real issue.
Many people give up within the 3 to 4 weeks of starting something. I understand that so I support you more in the first couple of months to guide you through this successfully. I learned, that small changes and gradual adjustments are easier to achieve and easier to keep. These little successes make up a big one and can give us the motivation we need to persevere. No dream is too big when you know how to make it come true.
Sustainable training
Diets, strict regimes, sacrifices and, sadly, doping can sometimes give you the body you are dreaming of. But how long can you sustain in it and is it all really healthy? I disagree in short cuts and cutting corners. A body transformation is a process that is happening in your mind and the mind takes longer to learn. The mind likes to plays tricks too. We just not designed to like getting tired or hungry. We like our sleep, fatty foods and party.
But there is a way that I practice and teach. A steady, slower progress that builds your solid muscular foundation allowing your body to adjust to the physical changes you will be going through. Strong foundation means fewer injuries too! Your mind will have time to accept and learn new habits. Without dramatic changes you will be more likely in control over your mind and harvest the benefits of safe sustainable and enjoyable working out.
To put it shortly.
